If you don’t mind getting a bit cold then get yourself  out in the back yard or to a field on the 13th-14th for one of the best meteor showers of the year. It called Geminids if conditions were perfect you could see up to 50 shooting stars an hour. If your in a city its going to be a lot less with the light pollution but its still worth it if you’ve never seen one.

If you want to see it the best time is late on around 11-12 at night, it should be an easy on to find even if you don’t know the stars as well. I’ve just been having to look and if you look to the left of the moon on Tuesday and above the moon on Wednesday you should be pretty much on it. Have fun, get some warm clothes on and remember a flask of tea if your off to a field

Double K challenged at DMC level so you know its going to be tight set. Its a real nice mix of mainly LA based hip-hop through the years and with the title I hope y’all gotcha sunglasses on out there you know he’s going to make it funky George Clinton style.

Stumbled on this band the other day, True Ingredients, straight of of London town as well. I don’t know how I’ve missed them, when i started checking them out it turns out they’ve warmed up artist like Vadim, Bugz in the attic, Jungle Brother etc. They’ve got a great idea for they album release as well, they’ve put it out on a pair of sunglasses! Buy the sunglasses which have a code printed on them which will let you download the album. Even Snoop has been seen rocking a pair on stage. Can’t quite put my finger on who they sound like at the minute, can definitely hear a bit of Urban Species mid 90′s acid jazz/hip-hop as well as a bit of Mos Def from Mr. Milk

This weekend Bear are off down to the big city for Lex records birthday at the Roundhouse in Camden. They’ve pulled out all the stops and got the masked villain himself Doooooom and the Wu’s Ghostface Killah to headline. Both known for ridiculous flows and some of the most complex lyrics in the game its shaping up to be a belter. If you’ve not heard about Lex before they’re well worth checking out with Dangermouse and UK artist/producer Kid Acne on there as well.
